The Start of the 2011 – 2012 School Year!

Bright and early, before daylight, the buses will begin rolling out and traveling all about the county to provide transportation for students to get to school.  The students will be standing along side the roadways, so drivers, be more cautious when approaching a group or student, slow down and save a life.  Remember the buses will be stopping several times along their route for pickup or delivery.  Be sure to stop completely when you see a bus stopping, never pass a bus when it has stopped to pick up students.

Along with the excitement of the first day of the school year, is the beginning of the COWBOYS FOOTBALL GAMES.  Their first game is scheduled to be an away game, being held in Moultrie, Georgia, against Colquitt High School.  For those students and parents that want to go, have no vehicle, or gas monies; find a way to the school before the buses leave with the players, band and cheerleaders.  Or beforehand, students can ask other students and find out which parents are traveling to the game, perhaps you might ride with them, if they don’t mind.  Another real good suggestion is to set up a signup board on the wall or window near the office, then if you need a ride, write your name on the board.  Others seeing the signup can offer you a ride by placing their name beside yours.  That way all students can have a ride to the game and our school will have more support.  The start of a new school year is always exciting for the students who are returning and seeing friends that were not seen during summer.

This time of the year is an especially fun time to live in the Madison community.  Show your support of the Cowboys and attend all the games!  The Cowboys are Winners! No matter what the outcome of the game is because when the Cowboys play football, they play hard.
