City Manager Harold Emrich Resigning?

The Madison City Manager, Harold Emrich, has notified the City Commission that he wishes not to have his contract as City Manager automatically renewed. The topic has been placed on the agenda for the October City Commissioner’s meeting for discussion.
Eddie I see you don’t know what you are talking about. I hope the day comes when you need a Police Officer and they are busy . I hope we can see the video on here of the snot bubble and the tears. At that time you will have respect for people that work in EMERGENCY SERVICES… I guess until that day sit inside your little glass house with all the solutions my friend.

There are no civil liability issues involved…if the story is true?
Who are the member families of this secret cabal that controls Madison? Or is it just a “boogeyman” story?
All I’m saying is….the water works, the sewage works, the streets are clean and the Manager recruited us a better Police Chief than we really deserve.
I can understand Tim’s frustration: He wants city employees to get a big, fat raise and he has some cop friend that wants to work on limited duty. (Apparently, there are few “limited duty” jobs on the City Police force. Surprising, no?) He doesn’t understand or accept the present state of our economy.
But to say that the City Manager is in fear of cabal-member families, while not mentioning the families proper, is cowardly in and of itself.
I suspect that the City Manager’s real problem, with regard to David’s post, is a lack of fear.
Eddie , contributors & Mr. Voice cannot print the names of individuals in this context because of civil liability issues . Perhaps you could meet face to face with Mr. Voice & he could explain the power & ruling structure in this county & being it would be one on one , both parties have deniability .

Who are these “families”, this secret Madison, Illuminati/ Freemason cabal? Nobody ever mentions their names. (It’s like Voldemort from “Harry Potter.”)
Personally, I don’t subscribe to the conspiracy theory that “a few families” control our community. I would submit, instead, that no one group can control our community and that, to a large degree, our community is actually uncontrollable.
So, who is it that has frightened the City Manager?
Hooray !!! Now I hope they hire someone who is not afraid of the families.
Darn. Maybe he can get some more sidewalks and handrails installed before he leaves.
This post say’s nothing about the city manager leaving…….. Only he does not want to have his contract automatically renewed……. It sounds like a ploy to get a big pay raise or other “additions” to the package
This is the result of a few women with failing businesses that need a scapegoat. They don’t think about the repercussions of having a new manager.
Well I do not work for the City of Madison but I am proud to see this. I hope the board will hire someone who takes pride in the City employees. I feel you get what you pay for and how you treat people if you treat them good you will get good work, I know of a Police Officer that has been out of work and could not work light duty because of Harold. I don’t feel that is his choice if he is going to have all the say so why have department head’s or chief’s of the departments. I think it will be a nice change….
