PICKLES ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER, DISTRICT 4
Karen Pickles announces her candidacy for the office of Madison County School Board Member, District 4. Karen, has been involved with education since 2001. She has served as both a vocational instructor and academic instructor at the community college level and an academic instructor at the university level. Currently she serves as a vocational instructor teaching Business Technology Education classes. “I believe my experience as a vocational and higher education educator have provided me with a wealth of experience for the job of School Board Member and I look forward to serving the residents of District 4 should I be elected.”
Pickles graduated from Madison County High School in 1986, earned an Associate’s Degree from North Florida Community College, and both an undergraduate and graduate degree from the Florida State University. She is currently completing her dissertation in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University.
Karen has been married to Troy Pickles for almost 25 years, and they have two (2) grown children, Jessica Pickles Ratliff, and Ethan Pickles. She also has a granddaughter, Emery Ratliff, who is 19-months old. Karen attends and is a member of New Home Baptist Church.
“I look forward to meeting the citizens of District 4 during the upcoming campaign. If elected, I will serve the citizens while making efforts to improve the overall education for our students.”
