On Friday June 15, 2012, The Madison Police Dept. and the Division of Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco served Search and Arrest warrants on two residences in the City of Madison. The Search and Arrest warrants were a result of a month long covert investigation by the Madison Police Dept. and Division of Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco into the sale of alcohol without a license. During the search warrants, a large quantity of Liquor and Beer was seized from both residences. Those arrested and charged :
Arthur Lee McDaniel of Madison. 2 counts of Sale of Alcohol without a License
Carrie Mae McDaniel of Madison 2 counts of Sale of Alcohol without a License
The cops need to go into Georgetown on 14 in Madison theres a store just down the road that sell liqure on Sundays you cant miss it cars are goin thru like a drive thru and they sell beer to do your jobs
I am an older citizen of Madison County and this has been going on for as long as I can remember. Anything thing you want you can get it 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They say some will even deliver it to your door. There is a lot more that need to get arrested. In fact my son who is grown now, told me when he was 13 years old, he and his buddies were able to buy beer on Sunday. Madison has really never been a dry county! At least if the county goes wet the law will have a better chance of controlling some of this illegal activity.
