AFTERNOON CRASH REQUIRES “JAWS”
At 3:50 PM on Monday, July 16, 2012 Madison County 911 Center began calling out First Responders to a traffic crash on Highway 145N a few miles north of Madison involving two vehicles. Sheriff Ben Stewart was first on scene and requested “Jaws”. One woman was trapped in her vehicle after it left the road and hit a tree line. The second vehicle was on it’s side but all of the occupants had been able to get out of it. The extrication of the trapped individual required removing the top, cutting away doors, removing the steering wheel and other measures. She was transported by helicopter to a hospital for treatment. Madison County EMS, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Fire/Rescue, Pinetta Fire/Rescue and the Florida Highway Patrol were all active at the scene.
I am praying for the family that all is fine and we all know God was in this.
That’s my cousin, she’s ok. I don’t all that happened but I thank god her and my little cousin are ok.

I heard the sirens and had no idea what had happened. Those JAWS OF LIFE saved my mom and brother just over six months ago!!
Thank God we have such wonderful emergency personnel here in MADCO!!!!

Good pictures but do we know what happened that caused the accident? That poor woman must have been pinned in there bad. To have to cut the whole top off and then the doors too. I hope that she will be ok.
