Join the Treasures of Madison County for its ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING and MERGER CELEBRATION! This joint meeting invitation is extended to guests as well as the members of the Treasures and the Madison County Historical Society. The gathering will be held Sunday, September 16, 2012 at our Madison County Extension Office. The program begins at 2:30 p.m. The meeting’s address is: 184 NW College Loop, Madison, FL.
Regional authors Rose Knox and Graham Schorb will present their book: Canoeing and Camping on the Historic Suwannee River, A Paddler’s Guide. The pair will sign copies after the meeting adjourns; bring along your unsigned copies!
This meeting will mark the historic uniting of the two Madison County organizations under the umbrella of the Treasures (TMC). An agreement was signed on Tuesday, August 28th, by the Historical president, Tim Sanders, and Treasures president, Teenie Cave, allowing for the melding of the two entities.
