  1. Jim Catron says:

Makin’ Time, When we turn 65, Medicare becomes the primary “insurance.” The proposal would allow a retire to stay on city insurance until he or she becomes 65 by paying the full cost of health insurance. There should be no additional cost to the city for health insurance. Use of health care benefits will be key because premiums are based on group experience. The proposal is a stop-gap approach designed to benefit employees at minimum cost to the city (tax payers).

  2. Makin' Time says:

Sure would hope we find out more about the retiree participation in the city’s healthcare plan before something like that gets implemented. If no cost , or very minor cost, okay. But I had to get my own healthcare plan when I retired.

  3. Jim Catron says:

Anyone who has questions about agenda items may contact me (or any city commissioner).

There is a vacancy on the Code Enforcement Board. Anyone interested in being considered for appointment should let their city commissioner know that they are interested.

    Jim Catron, District 3
    Madison City Commission
