Tallahassee – The Florida Highway Patrol will be conducting saturation patrols on November 23, 2012, from 7:00 PM until 3:00 AM on November 24, 2012, in Leon and Jefferson Counties. The saturation patrols or “wolf-packs” will concentrate on impaired drivers. Realizing the dangers of impaired driving, the Florida Highway Patrol wants to educate the public, remove impaired drivers from the roadways and help ensure a safe driving environment for all of Florida’s citizens.
The Florida Highway Patrol reminds everyone that if they need assistance while driving this holiday season, to please dial *FHP (*347) on their cellular telephone.
I recall we voted to sell liquor in our county a few months ago so we could get in on the action eluded to in this message. When and where can a Madison citizen purchase a bottle from a local vendor?
Wonder who got the license? Who applied? Ought to be a lucrative business since most of my friends favor a little elixir late in the day to ease their aches, pains, and angst. I see many of them up at Smitties frequently. Some of them really should not be driving.
Silence on matters of this nature normally mean a fix is being implemented. An update on this important matter would be appreciated. Perhaps Uncle Rick, our Governor, is trying to figure out who will give him the most kickback. Seems he stole 700 million from medicare a few years ago. Sick folks are expensive, but servicing drunks just might be the most lucrative business he has every participated in. Trust me that guy is gonna leave office with a large profit. Interesting, I cannot find anyone who voted for him.
No worry, we been purchasing elixir from our friends and neighbors for decades and a few more months don’t really matter. Anyone going without a drink in this county is truely living in poverty.
