    @ j. and John,

Why do we not recognize and acknowledge the dream world. All the participants in these contests go to sleep every night thinking of D-1.

Does not the poorest mother and father of these players, on both teams, not dream of and hope for the success of their son or daughter? For many in our community this is the only hope, because no other routes to success seems possible.

I sometime wonder if folks understand that the poorest mothers and fathers in our communities love their children, unconditionally, just like you and me love ours. Through the eyes of a child, we must wake up and see ….

    J. Kinard, One would think you’re talking about football players from MCHS. I’m guessing you accidentally posted on the wrong story. I’m also guessing that you have heard that Madison County’s opponent in the state championship game Saturday has that many D-1 prospects. I don’t have a clue to the validity of that either.

    20+ have d1 scholarships
