Madison Police Dept. Activity (Press Release)

On December 18 2009 at 915 am, Sgt. C. Cooks and Ptl. D. Stephenson responded to 649 W.Base St. in ref. to a stolen vehicle complaint. On arrival, Complainant Tegwyn L. Flournoy and Vincent Williams advised Sgt. Cooks that two subjects had stole his mothers 2006 Kia 4D which was parked at the residence. Both Williams and Flournoy provided the officers with the name of the suspects. On December 21 2009, the named suspects were interviewed at the Madison Police dept. along with the complainants in the case. After interviewing all subjects involved, it was determined that the vehicle was not stolen and that Flournoy and Williams had filed a false police report. Flournoy was placed under arrest for Filing a false police report and transported to the county jail. A probable cause affidavit was completed on Williams and forwarded to the State Attorney’s office for Filing a False police report.

On December 22 2009 at 1155 am, Ptl. J. Rosenberg was dispatched to C.V.S. Pharmacy in ref. to a shoplifter. On arrival, the complainant advised that she observed Deanna F. Williams remove a bottle of curve cologne from its package and conceal it in her purse. After further investigation by Ptl. Rosenberg, Williams was placed under arrest for Petit Theft and transported to the county jail.
