Tim McDonald

timmcTim McDonald has been a journalist for more than 20 years, working for some of the most prestigious news organizations in the world.

McDonald started his career as a sportswriter, covering such events as the Super Bowl, World Series, NASCAR and NBA Championships as well as NCAA college football. He was a beat writer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for several years.

McDonald left the sports world to write hard news and worked for a variety of renowned publications, including as a foreign correspondent for the Associated Press, based in the Caribbean. His stories have appeared in such publications as USA Today, MSNBC and the Los Angeles Times as well as newspapers and publications around the world. McDonald, who lives in Lee, is now a freelance writer.
